Success at the world championships!
Four members of Hereford Triathlon Club did themselves proud at the World Age Group Sprint Championships in Brisbane, Australia last weekend.
Mark Sims came 6th in the mens 30 to 34 age group in 1:03:08, finishing off a fabulous season which has seen him win prizes in most of the races he's entered.
Ursula Hankinson was 21st in the womens 20 to 24 age group in 1:17:18 and Clare Scott was 19th in the womens 30 to 34 age group in 1:16:07. Wayne Poulter was 39th in 1:11:29 in the mens 40 to 44 age group.
All four took on the best in the world over the 400 metre sea swim, 20 kilometre bike and 10 kilometre run. They were selected for the championships after finishing in the top four at scheduled events across Britain this year.
Closer to home, Nicola Goodwin of Hereford Triathlon Club finished second in the Halesowen Sprint Triathlon and fellow club member Ali Farr Jones won her age-group at the Cotswold Women's Sprint race.
