They tackled the Muddy Woody and survived!
Well done to the club members that took on the Muddy Woody and survived to tell the tale. It was one of the muddiest yet, with only about an inch of the course where you could get any grip.
The times were slower than normal so well done to Jon Tetley (13th place in 49:49) and Andy Taylor (21st place in 51:03) who did fantastically well. Whilst they raced the rest of the club decided to have fun and jogged around with the pack although that didn't stop Les (1:03:53) and Fonz (1:03:54) finding a burst of testosterone and racing each other to the line. Nicola (me!) was the first 'lady' to finish and looked gorgeous and glamorous as she crossed the line in 1:05:46 after a sociable 'competition' with Graeme Thomas (1:05:58).
It was a great day and really fun although the washing machines of many club members may take years to recover. The times of the other club members were Gerry West (1:08:19), Jo Crisall (1:08:44), Ian Christy (1:08:44), Simon Oliver (1:09:37), Chris Head (1:11:31) and Ashley (Jack) King (1:21:21). Apologies if I've missed anybody out, there are rumours that some club members may still be out there, stuck in the mud!!!
