Hereford Triathlon 2011

The 2011 Hereford Triathlon was held over a new course in the beautiful countryside of north Herefordshire and it was a great success. It was our biggest triathlon yet with 187 people finishing the race.

Garry Hughes of Tri Team Glos set the bar high with a winning margin of just over two minutes and the fastest time on the bike and run sections, his finishing time was 45:59. Paul Rogers and Phil Parsons made up the podium with second and third places respectively. The fastest swimmer of the day setting the new course record was Phillip Mason from the Berkshire Tri Squad with a time of 5:12 for the swim.

Angela Jones was the first woman home in 55:08, the second women back was Kate Wright in 57:24 while the Womens podium was finished up but Trish Chalk in 57:40

Thank you once again to everyone who took part, especially all of the marshals who keep everything running smoothly and the Tri Club committee who give their time to organise the event. We couldn't do it without you!
